Click "Play War" to play. To play your next card, click "Next Card". If the two cards are the same (a war) then the computer will automatically lay down your face-down cards.
The object of the game is to win all the cards. Each player plays a card face up and the higher card wins both. Aces are high. If the cards have the same value, then a war ensues. During a war, each player lays down three cards face down. Then each player plays their next card face up, and the higher card wins all the cards. In case of a tie, the war continues and another three cards are placed faced down, and so on. Cards that are won are shuffled and placed at the bottom of the winner's deck. If, during a war, one player (or both) does not have enough cards to put three face down, then the maximum number of cards is put face down, leaving one to play. If a player's last card results in a war, then that player loses, unless both players have simultaneously run out of cards, at which point the game ends in a tie.
For example, if there is a war and Jason has 3 cards left, then both players put 2 cards face down and Jason plays his last card face up. If this is a tie, (or if Jason's card is lower) then Jason loses.
